Enhancing a Home

One of the best things about our job is the lovely people we meet along the way. It was an absolute pleasure to help Tom and Jan with some updates to their beautiful home and the starting point was their bedroom.

Using their existing curtains and built-in mahogany furniture as the basis for the scheme, we designed the room around a neutral, cream palette to instil a calming, classy mood.

Rich textures and gold accents elevate the bedroom, creating a luxurious, hotel-chic style.

The elegant damask wallpaper behind the bed and stunning velvet and gold studded headboard help to enhance the bed as the focal point in the room. Sumptuous bedding ensures the bed looks more inviting and a pair of glass and gold lamps with white shades bring in some contemporary styling.

Moving onto to their Garden Room, a few simple additions helped to bring the space together, so that it feels more homely and comfortable. With more emphasis via the mirror and oak mantle shelf, the wall mounted fire now looks more deliberate. A large blue rug cosies up the room and the coffee table brings a contemporary touch and completes the design.

Finally, the guest bedroom was also given the 'hotel-chic' treatment and the result is an elegant suite that is in itself a little sanctuary. Creating a seating area which overlooks the beautiful garden gives this space more purpose and provides a little retreat for Tom and Jan to escape to.
